Zèlote’s sire Chin Chin competed at two Olympic Games, World Cup Finals and the World Championship in Stockholm. His offspring are successful at the highest international level: Querly Chin, Tedechine Sept, Tabelle van Sombeke and many more. Grand sire is the ‘Preferent’ stallion Libero H, who competed at the highest level by winning a World Cup final, Dutch Championships and Grand Prix. Libero’s offspring compete also at the highest level, for example: Libertina, Maaike and No Mercy. The Courville xx-son Notaris is, just like Irenus, responsible for leanness and performance.
Dam of Zèlote is the ‘Ster’mare Paola W. Her dam is the ‘Keur, Preferent, Prestatie’mare Biranda, who produced the approved stallion Kenwood, who also competed at International level as well as the mare Lobke, who jumped at national level.
This mare line produced several Z and ZZ level jumpers as well as the international jumpers Nordico and Aubabe. A new star from this line is Udo DV, ridden by John Whitaker, who placed 5th in the 1.60m class at London and 2nd in the 1.55m class at Birmingham.
Zèlote is a look a like of his sire and has all the same jumping qualities.
He jumps with very good take off and scope. In the stallion competition he performs well with Mark Jespers, they placed 5th in Hengelo and 9th in Roosendaal, both times he made a clear round.
His son Explosive VDW was reserve Champion of the Provincial Foal Show.
