II is a fully approved Hanoverian stallion from the Holstein
Stamm line 4232, this line is small in numbers but in performance superior in
the world. He has competed on numerous Nations Cup Teams, jumped on the
2006 World Championship team in Aachen and has won many classes
including Puissance, Grand Prix and Six Bar. Winner WEF Open Challenge
CSI***** Wellington, Florida. He won the Royal Windsor GP, 2nd King George V
Gold Cup 2004 and 2005. Member of Samsung Super League winning team
at Hickstead. He combines great temperament with huge scope and good
looks his technique was amazing allowing him to win 16 out of 18 six bars.
His winnings are over £200,000.
Russel II is by Corofino who is by Corrado. Corofino was a successful
Holsteiner sire, performing successfully for Italy. At his stallion performance
test in 1992 at Medingen he scored 10 for his jumping ability. In 1994 he
competed in the finals of the Federal Showjumping Championships in
Warendorf and in 1999 he was ranked No 1 stallion in Pferd & Sport magazine
as producer of jumping horses.
Russel’s grandsire, Corrado, by the outstanding Cor de la Bryére, is
currently the top ranked international showjumping performer. He gained
154 for showjumping in his performance test and his showjumping BLUP of
141. Total progeny winnings to date come to over £2,350,000 and he has so
far has sired 13 international Showjumpers include Indorado, Clinton, Crazy
Boy and Casima.
Russel’s dam Adele bred 5 international showjumpers including Coupe
De Cour who is currently competing at World cup level with Ludgar
Beerbaum. Her father Lincoln, who was by legendary sire Landgraf has
produced 5 graded sons as well as international show jumper Leonidas and
international dressage horse Lauser. Before that Lincoln was a successful dual
purpose sire in Germany with a show jumping BLUP of 127.
His progeny have winnings of over £110,000 Sterling.
